Oct 04, 2013 Outlook 2011 for Mac, trying to connect to Exchange 2010 SP1. If the laptop is connected to the same network as the Exchange 2010 server I can use the local server name without issue. If I try to use the external name it doesn't work.
I have two Exchange 2010 SP3 servers. One that is hosting the CAS and Mailbox roles and one that is the Transport server. Most of my environment is Windows and is running Outlook. In the last few years the Execs and another organization that we acquired started using Mac with Outlook for Mac 2011 or 2016. Two of my Execs started Using Mac with Entourage 2008 when we were still using Exchange 2003.
They have since migrated to Outlook for Mac 2016. All of the Mac user also are using iPad iPhone with the Mail App. Now to the issue.
The new employees that I have created email address seem to have a syncing issue. When I visit their Mac's I see Outlook is disconnected.
Launch the Go to menu -> go to the Library folder. Note: Library is a hidden Mac OS X folder. Outlook for mac keep getting pinwhell. Delete Microsoft Office settings and Excel preferences from your Mac Check if you closed all Microsoft Office for Mac applications. To access the Microsoft Word auto recovery files on Mac OS X, go to your user profile -> Documents -> Microsoft User Data. To display it, press down the Option key while clicking the Go menu.
I send them a message and I see Outlook for Mac connect to the server for a minute and then go back to disconnected. Their IOS devices have also received that mail but when I deleted the message from their Outlook it is not syncing up to their IOS devices or if I delete the message for their IOS device it is not deleting on their Outlook. I removed their accounts from Outlook and readd it and their Outlook with stay connected for a few days but ultimately will become disconnected. I restarted the Exchange CAS Mailbox server and their Outlook becomes connected but then will become disconnected in a few days. Strange thing is the two original Mac users do not have this issue, at least not yet, but this has been going on for almost a year now. All of these users are remote users so they are on and off of the network frequently. I am beginning processes for deploying Exchange 2016 into the environment but it is still a few months out.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas. Thank You Jared.

Rebrand ever 2 years for some reason. Feeling stable now we got a 4 letter domain. Well, it's quite simple. In the SSL for each domain you need just 2 Records (autodiscover and mail).
