Best Usb Keyboard For Mac
Mechanical keyboards are worth the price in my opinion. After I purchased one, as someone who writes around 5,000 words per day for my job, I can honestly say it changed my life. It's based off the IMB Model M keyboards which many consider to be one of the best keyboards ever made. However since they no longer make them, they are hard to find.
Logitech's K811 is my favorite Magic Keyboard alternative because it has three Bluetooth pairing channels. That means, you can pair it with your Mac, iPhone, and iPad (or Apple TV, or another Mac, or whatever you need a keyboard for). Find the best usb keyboards for mac based on what customers said.
Unicomp purchased the patents to manufacture these keyboards, and the version I linked you too has all the OS X command keys. Just go on for more information, but a quick search there and you'll see why so many people like these keyboards. I really enjoy the Apple Wireless Keyboard. I use one at work and home for my Macbook. I also have a desktop and a mechanical-feeling keyboard that I'm really attached to. I would hate to pick one, but if I didn't have my desktop, I likely wouldn't have my usb keyboard at home.
I like a clean desk and having all of the Apple-related shortcuts at the top is really nice. It's also a pleasure to type on, in my opinion. I do a small to large amount of coding depending on what projects I get into. If not that, I do a lot of scripting during the day. My 24 year-old fingers haven't noticed a problem. I personally think the Code Keyboard is the best, especially with clear switches. I have a dasKeyboard, and it isn't worth it.
It's just not moddable enough and has a pretty loud clack with clicky switches. CM Storms are also really good. I'd stay away from Razer. Their QC isn't very good. Basically all keyboards are 'compatible' with Macs.
You can buy a Command keycap if you really want. Because you're not a gamer, you should be looking at either tactile or clicky switches. Linears are terrible for typing.
