In PowerPoint, the only option to print slide notes will print 1 slide per page, with the notes (if any) printed below the slide. However, you can use Word to create handouts with multiple slides and notes per page. In the bottom left of the Print window that opens, you will see a pull down menu under the words Print What. I was overheating to the point of shutdown, but my fans remained at idle speed at all times, even after SMC and NVRAM resets. Macs Fan Control worked beautifully with High Sierra and Snow Leopard (dual-boot disk). The app lets you monitor the temperature of all sensors (MBP 6.2 has 12) and then control the fan speeds. The app allowed me to discover that the GPU diode temp sensor was only working intermittently, which likely explains why the SMC stopped controlling the fans. Now I can control each fan independently with a working sensor of your choosing or set them manually. The app also lets you revert to auto mode, which returns control to the SMC, which is of no use in my case.
On a side-note, I also found that replacing the thermal grease on the GPU and CPUs helped a lot (used Arctic MX-4).
