Mac Quicktime Plugin For Truvison
Howdy, Is it possible to get an installer for the QuickTime browser plugin /only/? I ask because the streaming project I've been bashing my head against for the last three months looks set to result in blood spillage soon. I deliver audio streams via RTSP from QuickTime streaming server on OS X Server 10.6.2. All fine and dandy, as I can chapter mark them easily, deploy them easily, and don't have to re-invent the wheel on a fortnightly basis.
Now, our Audio person grumbles that some users don't have QuickTime installed (which is not unimaginable, but I find it hard to conceive of no-one outside of Mac owners not having it) and will get confused by the installation of QuickTime. Especially as the install process wants to change your settings so it handles all your other media formats as well. Fair enough, I thought (although part of me thinks he's still underestimating internet users. Or am I just being kind?).
So is there a 'lite' version of the installer for the Windows lusers? Also, does anyone have any references to QuickTime vs. Flash players? I can't get my streaming flash player to accept RTSP (it does RTMP instead). Howdy, Is it possible to get an installer for the QuickTime browser plugin /only/?
