Outlook For Mac Birthday Calendar
Tips • The colored categories available in Outlook are a useful way of separating birthday events from other entries. To change an event's color, right-click (or tap and hold) on it and select a new entry from the Categorize menu. • If you have set up an Outlook.com email account in Outlook, a birthday calendar is automatically synced to the program. This calendar shows birthdays from contacts imported from connected social media accounts such as Facebook. This information is displayed automatically and cannot be edited.
Tips: Calendar is connected to your contact list in People, so: If you add a birthday in Calendar, and the person isn't in your contact list, they'll be added. If you add a birthday to a contact in People, the birthday will be added to your calendar.
• You can add birthday information to your contacts in the People section of Outlook. If you fill out these details for your contacts, a birthday event automatically displays in the default calendar associated with your account. Select a contact from the People screen and choose 'Edit' to enter or modify birthday details.
We recommend that you upgrade to, part of Office 2016 for Mac, which is free for faculty, staff, and students. Sharing your calendar allows people to look at the items on your calendar in more detail. You specify whether they can simply view the details for your calendar, or whether they can also create and/or edit items on your calendar.
